Rocks?

What a day! Avery had a rough night. He was in pain and telling Brian and I about it. I took him to the doctor today and one of his tubes had worked its way out and yep...he had an ear infection. Poor Thing! On top of that, he was coughing and getting a snotty nose. Yuck! So we hung out at home all afternoon. After a much needed nap, Avery was still not feeling very good so I decided that a bath would make him feel better. Sometimes I take my computer in the bathroom and sit in the floor while he plays. That's what I did today....He was just playing away and I was sitting watching him and checking my email. He had been in there a good 15 minutes, acting like he was feeling better so we were both happy. All of the sudden I notice he was throwing what appeared to be rocks out onto the bathroom rug. Because I'm sitting on the floor, I can only see his top half, not the water. (stop reading here if you have a queasy stomach) So I go to investigate these "rocks" that he is tossing out. I look in the water and see a ton, I mean a TON of these little "rocks" floating around. Some big, but a million small ones. Yep, Avery had pooped in the bathtub and was...well, needless to say having fun breaking the "rocks" apart and throwing them out of the tub!!! I really didn't know what to do....I started draining the tub. Avery had a toy shovel so I grabbed it and just started shoveling the "rocks" out and putting it into the potty! I guess during this time of madness, I blurted out "Oh crap." I wasn't really paying attention until all of the sudden I hear "Oh crap" come out of Avery's mouth over and over again. We survived, cleaned out the tub, cleaned the toys, washed the rugs, and took another bath! And don't worry, there are no pictures of this below!!! What fun!

Avery got up the nerve today to pick up a grandaddy long legs! This entertained him for a long time. He loved it!

Who new a snotty nose and a dirty face could be so precious!
