The Wonder Place

We woke up this morning to RAIN once again. I was sitting wondering what we could do for fun and got a phone call from my good friend Kacey. So, we met Kacey and Ava at The Wonder Place. This has got to be one of our favorite places to go. They have so many fun toys and activities for kids to play. There are water tables, blocks, sand, slides; you name it and they have it! We had a blast and enjoyed another rainy day.

Sweet Ava Jayne playing at the water table!
If you're ever in the Little Rock area and have small kids, take them here! They will love it. It is called The Wonder Place and it's off of Rodney Parham.

Raining Tomatoes

Today was a rainy, gloomy day. Luckily we were able to go for our morning walk at the park and go visit Kacey and Ava before the rain came. This afternoon the rain finally cleared off. Avery and I went to the garden to pick tomatoes. He would pick one, put it in his bucket, pick one then throw it, pick one and then eat it. Yes! My child will tear up some tomatoes....just here lately though. He has been on this kick where he is wanting to eat tomatoes, green olives, and mushrooms soaked in Zesty Italian dressing. If you know Brian at all, you know that Avery does not get this from him. I'm really pumped about it because I want him to be a good eater. In the mornings, Avery always ask for "breakfast" right when I get him up. Well, this morning he went straight to the fridge and said "olive." More phone pics... I'll get my camera tomorrow!

Play Time Pizza

Brian met Avery and I at Play Time Pizza today for lunch. What Fun! I have never been there, and thank goodness we went on a Tuesday at 11:00. By the time we left, it was getting PACKED. It was a two story building with games galore, go-carts, bumper cars, Lazar tag, and an all you can eat pizza buffet. Avery had so much fun. He danced to the music while we sat and ate our pizza. His favorite thing in the whole wide world is a ball; any kind of ball, it doesn't matter. So of course a lot of the games had balls that you could throw. He thought that it was the coolest thing. It also had a bowling alley with minature bowling balls for kids. I was able to take a couple of pics with my phone.

50 years

This weekend Avery and I went to DeQueen to celebrate my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Wow! 50 YEARS! We had so much fun visiting with all of our family. Brian wasn't able to be there because of work, but we still had fun. We were on our way home yesterday and I realized that I forgot my camera!!! So, I'm just posting a few of my favorite pics from this summer.
Avery loves worms!!!

This is Brian and I with our close friends Chip and Shannon.

Getting Started....Again!

Ok...so I am starting this blog because I LOVE sharing photos of my family. As you can see below I started one about a year ago, but never followed up on it. I vow to do it this time!!! I follow A LOT of blogs, but don't have one for my family. I talked to Brian tonight and decided WE needed to start a blog. All of our family lives out of town, so this will be a great way for them to keep up with what is going on with us. I'm home with my son for the summer.....school is creeping up on me and will be here before I know it! I'm enjoying every minute of everyday with my family. This is our full of life, smiling, outgoing, drama king son, Avery.
