Vistor #1

It is our spring break! Yay....Of course we have a whole line up of family coming up to visit us this week. First up were Uncle Webb, Cacky, and Granny. They drove up last night. Brian cooked for us and we played outside. They visited for part of the day today and then headed back. We had a lot of fun while they were here.

Granny and Avery enjoyed breakfast together.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm all about surprises and having some fun. I thought I'd surprise my boys with a special St. Patrick's Day dinner! They were both surprised. Avery wouldn't touch his! Brian ate his up....Thanks for the great idea Stinnett. We had our fair share of green today!

After our fun dinner, we went outside to play with the "chinkins." This has become an everyday thing for us. I'm really enjoying these chickens a lot more than I thought I would. We were able to get some fun pics!

This rooster has become all of our favorites...His name is Rooster. What do you know!

He let's us hold and pet him.

Fishing at the Lake

We went to visit Pops, Mimi, and Grandad this weekend at their home on the lake. Mumu met us there. We had so much fun as we always do when we go there. It's nothing but a RELAXING weekend for us! Brian enjoys fishing while the rest of us just play! Brian ended up catching about 17 crappie and 15 channel cats. We can't wait to go back!

Chickens

My dear husband....what can I say, he gets these ideas and just goes for it! He told me one night that he wanted to get Avery some chickens and by gosh by that weekend he had the pen built and all! He went and got the chickens just a few days later. It tickles me to see how excited something like this makes him. The night he was going to get the chickens, he told me he would be right back. Well, about an hour passes and he calls. He was a little out of breath and I asked him what was taking him so long. He told me he had been chasing and trying to catch chickens....I just died laughing. I don't think he anticipated having to catch them. He chased down seven and the lady he bought them from just watched! I'm sure she got a kick out of that. What can I say....I love that Brian is such a good sport and is all about having some fun. Avery is LOVING his chickens. Brian asked him what he was going to name his chickens or "chinkins" as Avery says, and he said "Momma, Daddy, and Averys."

Avery just wasn't to sure at first...

He finally got up the nerve to pet one. Now all he wants to do is go to the "chinkin pin" and feed the "chinkins!"
