Florida Vacation 2010

We just got back from our vacation in Florida! What a wonderful week. We had rented a condo in Destin, but got a little scared of the oil. So.....thanks to my wonderful husband, he found us a house in Mexico Beach (on down from Panama City) the day we were suppose to leave. We wanted to go on further down to make sure we made it through the week oil free. We Did! We did not see one bit of oil. Destin ended up being ok for the week, but it was a nice change for us to visit somewhere different. Mexico Beach is pretty secluded and quiet. We were able to enjoy the beaches during the day and then head into Panama City Beach for dinner and entertainment. The Kirkpatrick's and they Young's went with us this year. Avery absolutely LoVeD the beach and ocean this year. He would run into the water and just jump in! We had so much fun watching him.

Avery and Cooper

One night, we all watched the sunset and played paddle ball on the beach. Here is a pic of Kayla and Amber.

We rode go-carts 2 nights in Panama City Beach. This was Avery's absolute favorite thing that we did. He wanted to ride the "race cars!"

Our first night on the beach.

The view from our bedroom! The first morning we woke up, we saw about 15 dolphins swimming by. It was beautiful!

Brian enjoyed some fishing during the week. The guys also went on a deep sea fishing trip one day.

We also went to Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Our lovely Beach House!

Avery loved being buried in the sand. He could hardly wait for you to get him covered up before he busted out!
I am so thankful we were able to make it to the beach this year before the oil hit. It's so sad to know what is coming. I tried to enjoy every moment! Baby Update: We are 30 weeks along with baby Sutton. I go for a doctor's appointment this week. It is my last 4 week appointment. Then it's every 2 weeks. I can't believe we only have 10 weeks to go!

The Nature Center

This morning we got up and tried to figure out where we wanted to take Avery today. We thought about a few water parks or a museum, but finally decided on an INDOOR Nature Center. I've been REallY hot this pregnancy and the indoor thing sounded good to me. So, we headed off to the Nature Center. Avery got to see snakes, alligators, eagles, and fish! It was a nice outing!

Brian and Avery were looking for a Flathead.

There was an indoor movie screen. You could push a button and it showed several areas in Arkansas like you were flying in a plane. It was pretty neat.

SnaKEs!

Eventful Weekend

Summer is here and we are so eating it up! This weekend we were busy having fun and enjoying our friends. Friday night we went and watched Conner play baseball. Avery and Colt had fun running around the baseball field. Saturday I took Avery to the park. Blake, Kacey, and Ava came to visit later that day. Avery and Ava had so much fun playing outside. Then we all enjoyed SMORES! On Sunday, we enjoyed going to church, lunch, a nap, and visiting with our friends Jason, Emily, and Gavin. We went to their house that evening for some swimming and burgers. We are blessed to have such great friends!

Playing at the park

This picture cracks me up because Avery is like....."Yeah, this is my girl Ava."

Avery has been a little fish the past two summers. This summer has started off a little different. He has been real hesitant to get into the water this year. Today it took him a good 20 minutes to get comfortable in the water and then boy did he enjoy it. He started jumping off the side and then went to the diving board. He was going under each time and just loving it!

Brian also mowed the yard and let Avery wash the lawnmower.
