Arkansas Travelers

This week was my last full week at home with my kids before I start back working up at school. It has been a great summer and I'm SOOOO thankful for the time I did have this summer to spend with them. Avery was able to go to a "sports camp" this week. He went everyday and played different sports each day. He had a blast!! Last night, Brian took all of us to an Arkansas Travelers game. This was the first big baseball game my boys have ever been too. Avery LOVED it! Brian's work has a box so it was so nice to be able to stay inside with the air and couch or go enjoy the game from outside. We all did both. Sutton was able to crawl around inside and get into whatever he pleased!!

BBQ was catered for us! Thanks Chuck!

Nothing like taking your son to his very first baseball game!

Does Your Child Do This?

Does your child do this?

Sutton is now eating a lot more solid foods. He LOVES to put a little in his mouth, then squish the rest in both hands for a few seconds, then runs his hands through his hair. Then REPEAT...it's the same pattern over and over until dinner is done! Brian and I can't help but crack up.

He has done this to his hair all on his own!

So right after he eats, it's tub time!

BLUE PLASTIC POOL

Whoever invented the oh so famous BLUE PLASTIC SWIMMING POOL is one genius! If you are a parent and do not own one or have never had one, I would like to meet you. We played in our BLUE POOL today...it gave us an hour or more of entertainment and some cute pictures! Thanks to whoever made these things! Oh...my 10 month old swims nakey...if you do not want to see booty pictures, do not scroll down any further...for those that think baby booty is cute...enjoy!!

This last picture cracks me up because when Sutton just wants to chill out, we can just give him his pacifier, blanket, and play his favorite cartoon (Yo Gabba Gabba) and he will lay in the floor for a good 30 minutes or so just relaxing!

Window Project

I just LOVE this project! My Aunt Kendra told me about this idea. She hates to have things all over her refrigerator, so she found this little project to take care of that! This is for all of those fridge photos and cards that consume your refrigerator...you LOVE all the pictures and what not, but you just cannot put them all in a frame and stick them somewhere in your house. This will take care of that...here's what you do.....You get an old window. I found this one for $5 at a flea market. I busted out the glass and painted it. Then you take some wire and wrap it around the glass from top to bottom. I bought some little mini clothespins from Walmart to use to hold my pictures up. This project was super easy and I was able to do it in one afternoon!!

Here is the before:

And the after.....

I just love it!

Oh...and the best part:

$5 for the window

already had paint

$5 for clips and wire

$10 total spent on this CUTE piece for your home!!

White River Weekend

This past weekend was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had! Brian is so good about planning us a getaway (just the 2 of us) each year. He takes care of everything from searching for a place, booking it, and making all the plans. Probably our favorite thing to do together is go trout fishing. We both enjoy it so much and just being out on the river is so fun and enjoyable. So we try and go whenever we get the chance. Brian's parents came up Thursday and stayed with our boys until Sunday (so thankful for them!!). Brian and I caught our limit each day, went on some fun boat rides, visited Bull Shoals Dam, and enjoyed some good food. We went up north around Cotter, Ar (close to Flippin and Mt. Home) middle of no where. We had a cabin at a little lodge there and were the only ones for our entire stay! It was PERFECT!

Just what I needed :)

Bull Shoals Dam

We saw a lot of deer and several minks.

After dinner each night, we went down and fished off of the dock. The view from a State Park at Bull Shoals Dam.
