Birthday Boy

Look who's 2!

I just had to make another birthday post. Avery's party was this past Saturday, but his birthday was on Monday. Brian stopped Sunday and picked up cupcakes for Avery to take to daycare. I woke Avery up Monday morning and decided he needed a cupcake for breakfast. So we celebrated that morning before school and daycare. He loved every minute of it! (so did I!!)

Birthday Party

We celebrated Avery's birthday this weekend at DeQueen with our family. We all had a blast. Avery got a ton of new toys that we are ALL excited about. We were also able to fit in a hair cut.

Zaine came to party with us!

Jackson & Avery played a lot! Jackson helped Avery blow out his candle.

The baseball cookies turned out great!

These are most Avery's grandparents! Wow! This picture is one of a kind. Look at how blessed we all are! Robert, Rance, Rebecca, Buel, Ruth, Ted, and Wanda are also grandparents not in the photo. 18 total Grandparents! Amazing...

Say cheese Brian!!

Feeling Better

Avery had a rough week. He got his tubes on Tuesday and then Thursday he began running a really high fever. After two trips to the doctor, found out it wasn't the flu, but a fever virus. Thank Goodness! He is feeling good tonight and we will be going to DeQueen tomorrow for his birthday party!

This was on Thursday....not feeling good!

Today feeling much better!! Lulu I need a haircut desperately!

Surprise from Dad

We made it through our surgery! Avery did NOT like going with the nurses but we all survived. Avery and I enjoyed our day at home. We were in our pajamas all day long. We played with blocks, read books, and watched cartoons. Brian surprised Avery with a bubble machine when he got home.

Avery wanted to sit in the laundry basket to watch cartoons today.

Avery loves bubbles! Here is the bubble machine that Brian brought him. He had to stay inside for the day so we had to set it up in the living room.

Tubes Again

Avery will be getting his second set of tubes in the morning. This procedure is pretty short and simple. It is still a little unnerving as a parent to have your child put to sleep. Even if it is by the mask....Say a little prayer for us! I'm sure all will go well.

Just Being Home

I absolutely LOVE being home with Brian & Avery on the weekend. There is nothing like staying home and hanging out....just the 3 of us! We don't get to do this very often so when we have a weekend like this, I really try to eat it up! First things first....this morning we heard Avery reading his tractor book at about 7:30. I went in his room and had to snap a few pics of him and his bedhead.

Later on in the day I go to the kitchen to get something to drink. I open up the fridge and this is what I see...

Avery has put his play bugs in the fridge! Nice!

Avery also enjoyed a green onion with dinner. He eats just like his momma! Later this evening, our friends Ryan, Lendsi, Conner, and Colt stopped by to say hi and catch some of the Razorback game.

Funny Video

Avery loves shooting the basketball into the basket! Tonight he found it entertaining to hang his tractor from the basket. I was able to catch a little on video. I wonder what he is thinking in that little head of his? He is speaking in his own language right now, but you can clearly understand "tractor." It's pretty cute I must say!

A Surprise Visit

What a surprise. Brian, Avery, and I were just hanging out on Saturday after Brian got off of work. Avery had just woke up from his nap and I was talking to my sister on the phone. All of the sudden I hear a honking. I ask her "Whose honking?" she replies "Don't know." I thought someone was honking at her house and I was just hearing it over the phone. I continue to hear the honking, I realize it is coming from outside my house so I go to the door and see that it is her! I was so happy to see her and Avery was too. Lindsey is not only my little sis, but best friend, so this was a great surprise!

Saturday Morning

Finally able to post! I've been trying to post these bathtub pics since Wednesday and have been unsuccessful.....Don't really know why it hasn't been working. I was finally able to download them this morning. Today has been great. There is nothing like lounging around on a Saturday morning, watching cartoons and doing absolutely nothing! We don't get to do that very often so you better believe I was enjoying every minute. After Avery woke up, I brought him to my bed and we cuddled for a while. Brian had to work so we were kind of bummed he wasn't here, but we still enjoyed it!

Avery still loves his "mumble baths" as he calls them. Here lately his has been laying completely on his back. He will just lay there as still as can be and just look around. It's pretty funny!

Deer Camp, Dirt, & Red Velvet

We just got home from visiting friends and family in DeQueen. We are glad to be home, but we had fun while we were there. We were busy as usual. We went to deer camp on Saturday, and the lake on Sunday. Avery got to visit with Nana and Papa on Saturday and spent Sunday with Lulu(Birthday Girl). We hope you had a great birthday Lulu! We missed CC a bunch!! She was sick so we didn't get to see her near enough! Here are some pictures from our weekend.
