Kindergarten

 

I can't say how much I love these girls!  All my kindergarten teachers....(missing Bump)....we had Mrs. McClain a baby shower this week.  She will be having her 2nd baby girl really soon.  I love my job, I love my school, I love my girls!

 

Got Dirt?

How cool is a dad who brings home a load of dirt for his kids....

and of course a mom who let's them play ALL in it!!  These boys had so much fun just playing in the dirt tonight and we had just as much fun watching them!

 



Happy Grandparent's Day!

I'm pretty sure that my children have been blessed with the most AMAZING grandparents ever!!  Avery and Sutton have lots of loving grandparents.  Nana and Poppa drove up on Labor Day to visit and just play with them.  We enjoyed them so much. 

It was close to nap and as you can see....they all just piled up and snuggled for a little while.  So cute...

 

The preschool where the boys go had a special grandparent's breakfast this morning.  CC, Nonnie, and Pappaw were able to come stay the night with us last night and attend the breakfast.  Avery and Sutton were so excited to see them!



 

We love ALL of our grandparents.  There is nothing like the bond between grandchildren and their grandparents.  We love you GRANDPARENTS!!

Happy Birthday to you!  Sutton Henry turned 2 years old today and he knew it.  He grinned from ear to ear all day long.  Here's a little bit about the birthday boy.....

*Likes to mess with Avery

*SO curious

*Wants to be a big boy

*LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba, Trains, & his Daddy

*Always wants to turn the lights off and on

*Not Scared...of ANYTHING

*Can throw a fit

*Is very LOUD

*Playful

*LOVES puzzles, books, and pizza

*Has a great energy about him

*Never a dull moment with this kiddo

*Can spot an airplane in the air that I can barely see

*Loves his blanky

 

 

The yummy "healthy" cake!  I'm a big weight watcher's fan...this is a ww cake recipe and it was so good.  All I used was a can of diet sprite & a box of chocolate fudge cake mix.  I used sugar free cool whip mixed with fat free cream cheese and a cup of splenda for the icing; top it off with fruit! 

2 points per serving using the new weight watcher points plus system.  My husband even enjoyed it!

The night before Sutton's birthday we got to visit with the Young's!  We haven't been over to see them in a long time and we were all excited for a good visit!  The kids had a blast playing together. 

 

 Little man Jake had is 1st birthday last week.....growing boy!!

I am so thankful for today.

My Favorite Outfit

The boy's preschool will be having some fun dress up days throughout the school year.  Today was My Favorite Outfit day.  I let the boys pick out their favorite shirt.  Avery chose a dinosaur shirt of course and Sutton his monkey shirt.....nuff said!  They are both LOVING their preschool!

 

 

 

2 Good 2 Wait

What a wonderful surprise!  My grandparents called me last night and told me they were coming over and we were going to make some homemade pizzas.  Mimi, Grandad, & Aunt Norma Dee brought all the goodies and we made our own individual pizzas for supper tonight.  It was fun and delicious!  We enjoyed dinner and a WoNdeRfuL visit!!  So glad they came over.

 

Avery made his, Sutton's, and Brian's pizza.  Sutton wasn't interested in making them....just the eating part!

It's about Time!

It's been a while!  I have not updated in a couple of weeks and feel really behind on my blogging.  It's kind of been out of the ordinary around here.  Brian has been sick; he is going on 3 weeks now with nonstop headaches and nausea.  He has been through a series of doctor's visits and tests.  Hopefully we will get some answers tomorrow after his MRI.  The boys started their preschool on Monday of this week.  I have been testing kindergartners.  I should receive my class list tomorrow afternoon and our first day of kindergarten will be on Thursday!  I'm excited, nervous (even though this is my 9th year), and ready! 

We recently became members of Lakeside.  This is a private club close to our house that has hunting land, a fishing lake, four wheeler trails, and a park.  Just what a family like mine needs.  We love it!  We were able to spend some time there before all the craziness started!

Thought this was way cute...the boys watched cartoons one night in an empty toy bin.

Tonight we read lots and lots of books to the boys!  They were just in a reading mood.

I was a bit nervous about the boys starting their new school on Monday.  I knew Avery would probably do just fine, but I just wasn't so sure about Sutton. I was mostly nervous about him trying to lay on a mat to sleep on during nap time.  The child has only been in a crib or pack-n-play while he sleeps.  He's never been given the freedom of laying on a mat on the floor.  I just didn't know how in the world they would keep him there.  I am happy to say that day #1 and #2 went great!  He laid down on his mat, went to sleep, and slept like a champ.  I'm super excited!
